Change the crystal?

So I somehow got a scratch on my cyclops that is driving me crazy and am thinking about getting a replacement crystal from RSC. My only question is, are there any negatives to getting a replacement crystal? For example, on the vintage market, is a replacement crystal frowned upon (like a replacement dial/hands are)? Will my new crystal come with the etched crown with the "s" at the bottom? Also, will RSC let me keep my original crystal if I ask? Thanks for the info!!!
