I think either is fine actually. However since I do not have a white face dial and I do not have a Daytona, I would currently perfer the White Face Daytona.

Black, but only because I have a white dial Rolex. The Arabic slate followed by silver Arabic are my favorites if you decide on wg instead...

Ooh tough choice.
White is a lot better in person than in pictures. Black is so nice.. deep glossy black...

White!
Only because you can get the other sport watches in black except for the Daytona and Explorer II.

white - black is, well, too black and it's hard to make out what time it is as the dial is already pretty cluttered

Glad to see white is slightly preferred over black, as I have a NIB white that I will list later this week on the FS page. I did photos but not up to the standards seen here so I need to reshoot them.

It's not a matter of which is better, IMO. It's a personal preference as to which version appeals more to the individual. They are both beautiful and I have owned and worn both the white dial and the black dial. I settled on black because I felt the white was more formal looking and black was more casual in appearance. I also felt that the black could be worn with a business suit or a casual shirt & jeans and fly "under the radar" without attracting too much attention. Again, it's just a matter of personal preference. Go for the one that sings to you, they are both classic Daytonas!!

Personal preference. I have never seen either in person but I am drawn to the white.

i vote black my ad has one put aside for me i tried both black and white on together ( whats the chances of that in the uk) liked the white but it was a bit flat looking the black looked fantastic on the wrist even from the other side of the dealer it screamed daytona the silver sub dials really pop on the black and i think it looks a little more modern in black. olso tried on a new ss sub ceramic there today, Ding Dong! i think the dweller might be going the journey soon.

Too bad they don't offer the SS daytona w/ a white dial, black sub-dials.....or black dial, white sub-dials.

Prefer the white as the readability is better IMO.
