Super Jubilee vs. regular Jubilee Bracelet

Can someone please explain the differences between a super jubilee bracelet and a regualr jubilee bracelet? Would a D-serial DateJust from 2005/2006 have a super jubilee?

Thanks guys!

Super has a hidden clasp; the links are all solid...

Regular Jubee has a "shell" clasp cover; and the links are all hollow...

In addition to above- Regular Jubilee has micro adjustments on the clasp, Super Jubilee has no micro adjustments.

The regular Jubilee is light-weight. The new "super" is heavy.

Will the Super Jubilee go on a GMT II - non ceramic?

Any idea what these retail at (in the UK)?

US Retail - if you can find one and buy it - is $1,350...for what it's worth!

Bought a Turnograph in 10/08 with SS Super Jubilee D serial #. Hidden clasp Rolex logo broke off. It's with Rolex now being fixed. Supposedly it's not covered in the 2 yr. warranty. That's what the AD said. He said he'll fight for me to get it done for free. They better!!! Is it true the D serial #'s are from 2005/2006?

the retail price for the 63200 super jubilee bracelet is $1,350, and it can be ordered at the rolex service center (if they let you). however, it is not an option for the gmt watches (either new or old). so it's probably the best to post an wtb ad on the sales corner.

You just helped me decipher part of the number on my DJ sales receipt.

It's 116200 63200 03.

So, the 116200 is the DJ and the 63200 is the Super Jubilee. I wonder what the 03 is.

I think that refers to Stainless Steel. Is it SS?

I just realized this thread is from 2010. Found it using the search function. Disregard the update. Sorry about that.

superjubilee>>>>>>regular jubilee in terms of everything, but the regular one is lighter and allows for more microadjustments...HOWEVER, the datejust watch itself is so much heaver than the bracelet, that it feels "off centered" on my wrist

my solution: get ETUR's end links and put the datejust on a strap =)

It's a shame that it isn't (or wasn't) available in steel, since the old reference 16825, in yellow gold, came with a jubilee bracelet with hidden clasp.

That is wrong.

The jubilee bracelet was an option to the GMT's.
That's why they installed it to my 16710 at the RSC, because technically they don't "sell" parts over there.

Of course we are talking for the jubilee and not for the super jubilee.

and also the pic below from greekbum's excellent post

Thanks for the correction. I knew it was available for the gold model, but wasn't aware it was also available for the steel model.
