I'd vote Daytona if you have access to one, but then again I'm biased. For a sub C I'd be tempted to wait and pick one up second hand at a later date...

I would have said the NEW Sub "C" but after trying one on at my local AD this weekend I won't be adding it to my short list. Too chunky of a profile for me but the bracelet and clasp are excellent.

Given these 2 choices, I would lean towards the new Sub C.

For my next watch however I want the SS Daytona white face because I already have a SS GMTIIC.

Well, the Daytona is going to be $2500 more but I think I'd go with it over the Sub.

Hmm. I say Daytona. But I have a classic lugholed Sub-Date already. FWIW

Submariner for me. Excellent all round watch, the steel Daytona isn't one of my favourites - the two-tone Daytona with a blue Arabic dial is a different story though!

If you want my advice, judge the watches objectively on their relative merits. See which one sits better on your wrist, and which one suits your needs better. Ignore the hype behind each watch - trust your instincts. After all, there's nothing worse than regretting a purchase

this is actually a decision for my dad. i have a ss daytona and a sub 16610. he has neither ( he has a milgauss and ss gmt). i think he will lean more toward the ss daytona.

If he's already got a GMT, the Daytona with a white dial would compliment his collection brilliantly

IF he has a GMT I recommend a Daytona.

I had a white-face Daytona. Sold it. Dial was too bizzy for my taste.

Now I have a Sub-c, a Sea Dweller and a Milgauss. Happier.
