Icon5 Sub-C GlideLock -- scratching the bracelet links?

I've seen several pictures of how the Sub-C GlideLock clasp looks like, and even saw it in a video how it works. However, I somehow cannot understand how it can not scratch up the bracelet links? Those links that slide into the inside of the clasp: I suppose they should be rubbed against the inside of the clasp, more specifically the "teeth" part that keeps the clasp from changing the bracelet length on its own.

How does it practically work? Especially on AG and TT bracelets where scratching is more of an issue. Maybe when you engage the GlideLock, and start moving the bracelet ending inside the clasp (to set the bracelet length), during that gliding process the bracelet links do not touch anything inside the clasp? And when you disengage the GlideLock (fix the bracelet length), it is shut tightly and so no rubbing or moving is possible inside the clasp?

I know that on the DSSD it scratches the edge of the links, especially if the diver's extension is removed.
This should not be a problem as you can order 2 free links when you buy the watch and so you can swop tham over if you wish.

On my Sub C, there are no scratches. So, I guess it's made to avoid any metal-to-metal contact

That's very good news, thank you. I'm not sure how can it be achieved, but I'm glad Rolex made it like that.
