Help in identifying specific model and age of Rolex watch
I would appreciate some help from you in identifying my fathers watch. It was bought in either the late 60's or early 70's and I have a green felt type box for it with wooden interior. It has steelnox 6252 H14 on the strap and 255J on other side, just below the botton of the bezel.
Any insights into this watch would be appreciated. It works perfectly given its age and looks good. The glow from the hands has gone and is missing in some areas of the hands. Any suggestions on what can be done about this and rough cost? Photo is attached. Many thanks, D6J |

hi, this model is a 1601 (tutone) Oyster Perpetual datejust.
:) pretty normal for the watch to not to glow anymore...the hands look fine, but if it really bothers you, source a set of new hands.. |
