I don't know about the shut down but my AD says a price increase is comming on Sept 15th for sure but the new Sub will not be effected the increase is not across the board. They also did not know the percentage of the increase but think that 8-10% is a good guess.

Its not a rumor. There have been several threads discussing the matter.

They are moving their facilities in New York - that's why they are shut down for the majority of September.

Lower rents than their digs on 5th Ave.!!!!!! it's all about overhead!!!!
We're not buying enough Rolexes!!!!
I think Rolex should do a "stimulus sale".........buy one, get the second(similar value) @ half off!

Seems like August is a big holiday month for Europeans...maybe the Swiss are different & take theirs in Sept.???

They are only moving their Vaults and Inventory from Manhattan to Long Island. I also heard this week that the USA National Sales manager has been fired along with several regional mangers. The President of Rolex is also on the Chopping Block???

um... rolex usa is closed due to relocation to new jersey, not the ny rsc. all rolex ad's are still up and running. yes, it's true that many ad's have confirmed a price increase on the 15th.

Another thing about the relocation is, US ADs can't order anything for the next few weeks, they can only sell what they have in stock. Assuming the price increase on the 15th is true, that's interesting timing.

I called the NY RSC and they said that the service facility is not moving. It seems that just the headquarters is moving to LI City, not New Jersey.(so say the rumors)

That's a shame, their executive offices and boardroom were top notch.

Why does the fact that they are moving corporate offices matter? I'm confused
