Milgauss GV or White Dial?
It's been a while since I've been thinking whether to get the white dial or simply chip in a bit more and the GV.
Both are beautiful time pieces but then again, which one is worth getting? Also, would you guys know how both these dial look in the dark? Anybody with some pics that can show me? Thanks! Any suggestions fellas? |

Hey :)
I went for the GV, and have never regretted it. For me it's just something with that green crystal that makes me keep looking at it when i wear it. They are however both great timepieces in my opinion and I would go for the one that "feels" right when you try it on the wrist. (If you get the chance). Good luck and look forward to the outcome! M

NIce choice man
I'll take a look into it and hopefully i'll be able to decide soon. Is the green crystal inside the ring or is it on the glass itself? |

Hi Benjamin,
The crystal is green sapphire. It looks a deeper green around the rim due to the thickness of the sides. The lume colours are 'different' but fade very quickly IMO. The lume pix is not mine.

The "White or GV" question has been festering in my head as well!
IMHO it's not a matter of shelling out more, but the white dial is nice in its own right as well.

I'm always in favour of black or dark dials, and then the novelty of the green crystal would put it over for me. I use "novelty" in a good way btw. I think it looks smart

Go for the GV.
Tried it on this weekend, as a brother of a friend of mine has bought one. Really stunning |

I went for GV. Not only do I love the look -- the way the orange hand and green cast play against the black face -- but, from a collector's standpoint, perhaps the green hued crystal won't be a permanent Rolex offering and so may appreciate in value more than the others. (The operant words there are obviously "perhaps" and "may," I realize.)

I think there's never been a better time than now to buy the GV.
Then again, you can get generous discounts for the white version because demand isn't as high as the GV. Also, if most of your other watches have black dials, this might offer a nice change. |

I bought the white dial because it was so much different then any other Rolex in my collection. Now that they've been out for a few years, I actually like the standard black dial the best.....but I'm keeping the white, it's unique.

The white has 3 different colors. The GV has 6 colors, plus the hands are glossy while the dial is matte. Very interesting to look at, plus the PCLs, lugs, bezel, and the somewhat surprising heftiness when worn or held in the palm of your hand. GV...

Their are are plenty of other watches where you could get a white dial, so my vote would be for the GV.
