Which chrono do you prefer?

If the choice of chrono were the Omega Speedy or IWC Pilot Chrono, which would you choose & why?

I've had both the IWC and Daytona before. Love them both. I know the Speedy is a hit with the serious collector.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Couldn't' have put it any better myself!

So another vote for the Speedy.

Cheers,
Joe

I agree with the majority. The speedy is the first watch I've owned which I can honestly say will never leave my collection.

I agree, the touch of red on the second hand is a masterstroke.

Speedy, without question, I see it as a must have for anyone who has a semi-serious watch collection.

Id say I have quite a serious watch collection and I still have yet to
own an Omega.

I have come close a few times but something else always ends up in the collection.

It does surprise me but I guess its just not meant to be yet.

For a Chrono I like my divers IWC Ti Aquatimer and a new toy you will all see in the next week or so.

Yes, it is larger and has more presence on the wrist IMO. I like the IWC Spitfire more than the speedy. It's very versatile, the dial is beautiful. If you can find a Laureus edition blue dial, it is stunning! The speed is no slouch, you really can't go wrong either way. The IWC deserves a try before making a decision. Go with the bracelet version and get the leather later, not vice versa.

I own a Daytona, I have had a speemaster and flipped it, esthetically the speedy didn't do it for me. I've never had an IWC but I've been thinking about one for a few months. My issue with the Daytona is there is no date function and I prefer a larger size. The IWC could be the right way to go IMHO

I had Speedy for some time and, although I hated lack of date feature, and manual winding was pain in the a$$ sometimes, I would buy it again without second thought!
True classic, and watch that looks and FEELS much more expensive than it is. Best bang for bucks , and watch for all seasons (and planets, of course)!

Nice looking watch. I gues I have just gotten hooked on the Crono thing lately.

I actually had given some thought to getting the Tudor Tiger Chrono actually.
