Great movie, for sure. It is too bad it was not released to theaters here in the US, I bought a DVD copy and loved it.

my wife's been bugging me about getting it. it's a japanese story that they remade. i'll check it out this weekend.

Saw it on my flight to Belize earlier this year. Definitely a tearjerker if you're a dog owner.

Objectively, I thought they dragged out the later years of Hachi's life, as we knew what the inevitable conclusion would be.
