Bought same Rolex twice?
Hey all, I used to read posts about owners who had sold a particular model of Rolex only to buy the very same model a while later for whatever reason and, to be perfectly honest, I thought this was a little bit crazy!
Well guess what I did recently...................... Yup there was one watch I had that I sold (early 2006)but started to regret it almost straight away - an Air-King-Date with silver dial, I'm happy to say that I now have a 1984 AKD with silver dial (original B+P a bonus, the last had RSC papers only). I never realised but these take some finding I can tell you! I think the majority of people find the AK too small but I find it a nice change to wear a subtle timepiece now and again Anybody else have a Rolex model they needed two goes to realise they really like it?

Yep - well almost
Almost... I sold my SMP Chrono (blue dial/bezel) and regretted it. I used it to fund my Chrono Avenger as it is my grail watch.
This past Christmas, my wife gave me the opportunity to receive one as a gift so she got me a SMP (bond) 2531.80. I like the less busy configuration of the non chronograph SMP.

I bought this early TT OysterQuartz last year with the minimal printing on the dial, unlike the later models with the superlative, oficcially, etc, etc.:
When it arrived I noticed a scratch on the dial to the left of the coronet, which I'd thought was a scratch on the crystal or dust, and a very poor repair job on the bracelet, neither of which were apparent in the photos. I shipped it back and the seller refunded my money, but I'm wishing now that I'd immediately started hunting for another instead of spending the money on other things. It's too bad that Rolex doesn't use that bracelet style on some of their other models. To me it's one of the best looking bracelets ever.

Aadil has done it with his datejust. Only they had different serial numbers. And the one he has now has his name on the papers and I'll never let him get rid of it! It's my favourite Rolex in the world
