I hardly see the day date 2 been discussed in here, we need to give some love for day date. what you guys think? is the day date 2 worth buying ? Thank you,

Hi bud as you will know i have the day date everose gold model, as soon as the day date2 was released i whent on the hunt to test one out, it is in its right a beutifull watch, but personally i did not like it, its size for what it is loses something, the smaller day date oozes class and panache, plus when you are suited and booted the smaller one just feels right for the ocasion, the new day date 2 is just trying to hard and the machined bezel is so in your face, the price is so much higher too, if you wanted such a large gold wath look at the all gold sub ot the everose gold daytona, both are gorgeous, but in my opinion i would consider the smaller day date but bling it up slightly, IE mother of pearl and diamonds or just a nice diamond dial. and you will save your self some dosh... i will post a pic of mine and hopefully some one will post a 2 for comparison....... plus i have got a huge wrist and paw so i could have got away with the larger watch.

That's beautiful watch Paul, I have dj2 and I had a feeling the dd2 will have the same feel on the wrist plus more weight of course, anyone else?

Thanks guys, i do love it myself and it isnt overpowering on your wrist, its perfect when your suited and booted, i have an 18k sub, TT Subs, and a deepsea, i love them all but i must admit these are more casuall, the day date is the daddy for class and panache, make sure you test drive the DD2 fully and study that bezel, cos for me its just a bit to much in your face...............

They are great watches, but I feel something just doesn't look right in a dd2.. I can't pinpoint it, but it just doesn't look proportional. If they were to make it say 39 or 38mm then I think it would look much better..
