YM or SD

Alright guys help me out here. I am going to be adding a new addition to my collection this week and I cannot decide. I will be purchasing pre owned from one of the sellers here on TRF. For the life of me I cannot make up my mind. IT has come down to a YM 16622 or a SD 16600... I had a SD and wore it daily for 7 years but sold it. Loved the watch but been there done that. I do however love the size and weight of the SD. The YM is a little more blingy with the platty.

So here I am they are both great watches... Maybe you guys can give me some pros and cons of each to push me over the edge. I know at the end of the day its my decision, just looking for feedback.

Thanks in advance. My current collection is below

SD is the classic and the YM is the most "unique." So, IMO your decision is one of which is most important to you; a classic look or a more unique and less seen piece. Of course, both are a sweet choice!

Classic vs. Unique

These two descriptions rarely go hand and hand, I'd say go with the SD because it's classic aka classy and to be honest, it's a rather unique breed in a sea of Subs.

Ersnyder, well said.

Of the 2,I'd get both!!!

I know...Not much help Adam!!

SD is the perfect weight and fit + function for me as an everyday watch...
Although I have YM TT(which I love),it's more an evening kinda watch for me!!
Draw your conclusions from that but I'd pick either in a race at 50/50..

Not. Even. Close.

Yacht-Master 16622.

Do you really need 3 dive watches?

Maybe you should go with the Platty, since you done the SD already, as I see it, since the YM is a new and unworn watch for you, it might just be a "grail" watch for you to keep forever. The SD obviously wasn't as you sold it...?

Try the YM, it's awesome!

For me, there is no doubt - YM all the way, I think it`s more versatile watch than SD!

Tough choice. I guess it would depend if you want to be reunited with the SD. I'd prefer the SD but I'm biased.

Good Luck!
