Shall I do it ?
Not one for the purists lol but I promise to keep the stock parts so can revert back to stock if required....
I have a black Sub-C and would like to put my own stamp on it so to speak! Have looked into a few options one being to source a Ceramic LV bezel insert and going for the previous Sub LV look, another the smurf route but both really wasn't making it individual and also a nightmare to source parts and cost. I have however managed to locate a Genuine Sub-C dial which I can have the submariner text in red and also a custom red second with the currect blue lume. Opinions guys... Sam |

I think the green bezel only would look great on the new sub c. I'm not to fond of the idea of making it a red sub, although I dont know why.

Not sure who's doing the "painting" et al.
Not for me, so my answer is No - since you asked. |

The ceramic bezel is so much larger, I the old one would look too small on the new case.

I'd like to see it. I've fondled the new LV a few times and can't get over how different the greens look. Might be really good with a black dial though. |

I really like the new green. but the new LV is just too much green for my taste. That's why I think a sub c with green insert would be awesome

I enjoy modding watches, great fun to make it your own, and well as getting the watch purists all knotted up, lol!

Thanks for input guys!
To answer a couple of questions, the LV bezel insert I did have high hopes for and had also planned on sourcing the insert and bezel so there wouldn't be the hassle of taking the bezel insert out (as some report it being brittle) I know the bezel change on the Sub-C is not as end user friendly as the previous Sub but had thought I could take it to watch maker as and when needed, the issue has been getting one full stop !! As for the the red text dial, I have been quoted a price from a company who actually sell custom Rolex's with the said text changes so expect the quality to be good ! Sam |

I have been mulling over this topic all weekend and have came to the conclusion I will leave the dial and hand change !
Reasons why I have no experience with any watch makers and as the work would require a competent watch maker who I can trust to do the work and any other follow up work that may needed I am a little unsure of just getting it done ! I would like to find a good watch maker local to me but then I will have to do some asking around and see who I can find. I think I will look more into the LV ceramic bezel change, I know they are not a straight forward job but I'm sure it is not as in-depth as the dial/hand swap so my mission now is to first source a LV bezel and insert which I know will be hard but I'm sure in time they will appear more available and while in the search try through recommendation find a good watch maker. Many thanks Sam |

as the watch is so new there are no parts available, nobody "lost" their bezel yet - from their 116610LV....BUT GIVE IT TIME... By the way...if you had the bezel with the green insert..it is a straight forward easy job to do. |

Is it really an easy job ? I have been told that is was no where near as simple as the old style bezel ! Well he was talking from experience with GMTIIc but assume they are the same. Sam |
