The classic LV... best Rolex ever?
I know there are many views on this thorny subject. But take the most iconic model of all time, retain the classic case, add the maxi dial and gorgeous deep green bezel, and ask yourself... is there really a more perfect watch in the Rolex stable?
I suspect not ;)

Nice pictures but personally - the green bezel ruins the look of the watch. Not for me.

Nice pix Tony and I agree with ya. Gotta love the green.

The LV is a good bridge between the old and new generations, but for me, the steel GMT IIc is my idea of the perfect modern Rolex

Best Rolex ever ?? Not for me. Yes it's fun,yes it's funky but didn't work for me,I'll always stick with the classic blacks. I miss it sometimes and I would buy it back, but only as a fat4.

Yes there is a more perfect watch out there: the classic Sub with balck insert... I was never a huge fan of the old LV and and not a huge fan of the new one either. I just tried one on at my AD. I thikn it's pretty cool, but I'd never buy it as my first Rolex...I don't wear enough green...

Clearly the 16600 Sea Dweller is the best ever...right Andy?

I'm curious, how did you achieve the black background? Some kind of box in a dark room? |
