Icon5 Corum

What is the general opinion on the movement and reliability of this brand?

More specifically, I really like the Black Flag with the blue hands and date wheel.

I'm just curious because this brand does not get mentioned here very much.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Bump because I never had any input.

Is this a "fashion" watch or does Corum make a good watch?

Corum makes unique watches, some call it a very high quality fashion watch but who isn't.LOL

They source their movements from top swiss companies and they are made in SWISS.

Very good deals can be found on Corum since gray market dealers and ex AD are selling it at 30%-50% below MSRP.

I have a RG ROMVLVS

I Absolutley love it...

Corum is a baby in the watch world - as it just turned 50 I believe, but it's founder - who died recently ( I think he was 100yrs old) was a traditional watch maker who worked for Patek and trained in the traditional historic arts.

Some of the watches are stunning - the latest golden Bridge for example is
a true achievement.

They've discontinued the bubble line, and it seems they are going to eliminate their "entry level".

I think they'll reach a point where they run with the big boys...

I have a friend wears a Corum.....

I have no knowledge of the 'internals' but I certainly like the look of them.

Corum

They aren't fashion watches. They are considered luxury watches and make their own movements. If you are looking to get one I would recommend a limited piece as limited Corum watches are generally highly collected and thus hold their value well. The Golden Bridge is the way to go if you are looking for a non-limited piece.
