What is the best way to pay for a rolex bought online that protects me the buyer from non delivery or a fake?

My experience, don't know if I did it right or if there is a better way. I did it recently through Paypal with a credit card. That way you have both Paypal and credit card protection.Take pictures of the unopened box upon delivery, while opening the box and the watch in and out of the box as well. That way you have proof of what's in the box. Good Luck!

If it's eBay, use PayPal. Both eBay and PayPal have buyer protection. If not (and in any event) buy the seller first, then the watch! PayPal may offer some limited protection off eBay as well. In any event, fund the purchase with a credit card also.

paypal is very good I have heard for the buyer, thats the main reason I will not sell a big item using paypal as it is so easy for the buyer to claim the money back, and as xxtra3cats said the credit card will also offer loads of protection, not sure how a picture of an unopenned box wil help tho as that would be very easy to fake.

escrow/suspense or CC. buy the seller not the item. i think you'll find a lot of trust worthy people on the sale section.

It's been said many times over here on this forum that you should be buying the seller. If have ounce of a doubt, don't pull the trigger. Most people who get taken or are unsatisfied with their online purchases usually let the good price suck them in. First make sure the seller is reputable, like some here on TRF or have 110% feedback on eBay, then use paypal via your credit card.

Use PayPal with a credit card. You should be covered by the Buyer Protection by PayPal and able to dispute the CC charge if PayPal doesn't come through.
