I've never seen that one before, but I'm not sure. I thought all Luminors say reg tm on the crown guard though.

Looks like a 251, but no clue on authenticity.
Lots of super quality fakes out there. As always, buy the seller first... |

Based on comparisons to pictures I've seen of the 251, I can't find anything out of place. But be careful since fakes are being made very authentic looking

IMO
That looks ok but then so do the fakes and the fakes have the same movement although the Panerai movement is a blueprinted movement and the quality is what you would expect. Only the full package would give me peace of mind confirmed by a Panerai AD.

Ok, so you answered your own question.
It is impossible to tell from just one pic whether the watch is fake or real, unless it is an obvious fake.

I really didn't answer my own question. I also agree with you, but I didn't want to take a few thousand $$ chance. I think I will buy from someone on this forum that has sold on here before!!!

from the pic you posted, it is really hard to tell. The date wheel may appear recessed, but only because of the source of light and shadow (take it from me, I take watch pics daily). The hands are indeed silver, but polished finish is highly reflective, so if it is dark in front of the watch, or the camera itself is casting a shadow, they may also appear black. And not 100% sure what you mean by 'Crown bridge pin is not flatten'
Here's a pic I took of the 297 face-on, hands appear black: but turn it slightly, and the side-light makes them take their natural color: Hope this helps somewhat. Or, you can run the seller past us on the 'Who's Who' and see what the masses have to say. Remember, BUY THE SELLER, NOT THE WATCH.

Thanks for the help. I understand!
Nice PICS. I am going to pass on this watch, but will ask the "who's who." I am getting so antsy on buying my next watch (first panerai or rolex) and don't want to make the wrong decision!! Thanks again Mosco |

The date wheel does look recessed too far, BUT that could simply be the angle and shadow of the photo. HOWEVER, in this case, the font of the date wheel does not seem bold enough. It should "pop" deeply black. This watch seems to have a less bold font and does not "pop" like the other numbers on the dial. Look at a real photo from paneristi, etc. you'll see what I mean. The font on the inner minutes numbers is not correct. Also, the crown pin should be flat, seems domed. The central pinion for the second had appears flat and I think it should be slightly domed. It looks hollow because it is so flat. Fake-er-ino. Good, but as always, flawed.

Both
I ordered it online, but I'm certain the guy actually makes these himself.
