I have basically the same one without the diamonds that is getting serviced. Nice watch you have, it is a comfortable watch, even more than my GMT IIC which is a big heavy watch

This was my father watch .. He is gone now, so that makes this watch more special than the 3 different day dates that I own .. I also have a couple Rolex models with oyster bracelets .. The DateJust is the most comfortable as far as feel, and I even wear it to bed.

Nice watch. I think it is grand that you have something like this that you can wear and think of your father with.

My favorite Rolex is my father's 50's TT TOG with black face. Looks just about like yours. Beautiful watch.

BTW, you don't have a plane called the Songbird, do you?

Can't go wrong with a TT Datejust on a jubilee bracelet. Classic in every way. Congrats!

slcbbrown .. I'm not "that skyking", but I have seen songbird up close and perosnal .. One of the many things my father left behind is a Boeing 737-200 completly redone inside to look like a BBJ .. It's a money pit, but lots of fun

As for everyone else : thanks so much for the nice comments .. I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas

Great looking watch. I have a 16233 with a diamond dial, never get tired of looking at it.

Actually, I should take better photos .. It looks much nicer when you can actually see the details of the watch .. You wouldn't believe that it is a 1984

Might be a dumb question, but what does BBJ mean? Being an airplane freak, if like to see some pics of your father's 737-200
