I know I've asked this before... but....

WHY!?!?!? WHY doesn't Rolex make a WG GMT? They make a WG Datona, a WG Submariner, (obviously) a WG President, why not one of the most iconic watches ever produced? The most recent explanation I heard was: "Well, the GMT is a sport, or working watch, they wouldn't make a "working" watch in WG." Really? And what, exactly, is a submariner? A dress-up only watch? Someone correct me if I'm wrong but with the new super cases out aren't the sub and the GMT in the same case? How hard would it be to put a 3186 movement in there?

I was trying on watches at the AD, both SS and WG, and just thought how absolutely cool a WG GMT would be, definitely my new grail if it existed.

ROLEX!?!?!? ARE YOU LISTENING!?!?!?

WB GMT would actually make a lot of sense, with a red GMT hand to distinguish. Yummie!

What about a WG GMT with optional bark finish & coke/pepsi bezels? That would be a wicked cool selection.

I treid on a beautiful WG sub with stone encrusted bezel at an AD. I'm not usually a wg person but have to sya, the watch was gorgeous. That said, I don't know if I could tell the difference between wg and SS. And, the SS probably wears better in terms of finish durability not to mention the ohhhh 20 grand price difference. The precious metal Rolexes are beautiful and just plain overpriced. Ya gotta look to the preowned market to get anything near affordable. (for me anyway).

You're absolutely right Tony, they do make that... uh... Blingzilla WG GMT... but I was talking more about a "plain" WG, like the WG sub. I just think that would be such a fantastic watch!

You got a couple of those 70K blingmasters in your safe? I'll take five... no, six of them....

My cousin has one of the WG GMT's Blinged out. I never asked her to take a closer look at it before so don't know if it's fake. I kind of doubt it since her husband is on the cover of many regional business magazines and plays monopoly for a living with real properties and buildings flying private jets and such. Got to get me a wrist shot one day.
