What info are you looking for?

Many brands control their own advertising including Rolex making ADs put up those billboards WITH THE AD's NAME on them.

If they were allowed to mention Rolex, it would only be a link to Rolex's website. Also, the Rolex site shows a list of ADs

Panerai does not allow any advertising locally by ADs. Just the way it is.

That's my point - if you are looking for Rolex info, you would go to the Rolex site, not the AD site.

Why should it be mention? If it's listed as an AD on the Rolex site, then they are one and have directed you to a place that sells Rolex.

Billboards are DESIGNED and APPROVED and required by Rolex. I don't think they want each AD having anything to do with advertising the brand for fear they may get some info wrong.

In the UK, the Rolex ADs can mention the name "Rolex" and show a picture of Rolex logo, but is not allowed to advertise/sell Rolex watches online.

That's right. The Rolex designed templates are created so that ADs can insert their name / location in a way that let's Rolex control the image, message (if any) and featured brand.

Many brands do this form of co-op advertising. Rolex is paying for a chunk of the media buy and wants to control the execution.

Another example: PC ads with the Intel Inside logo. Intel is paying for a chunk of the media buy and the PC OEM gets a subsidized ad and the oppty to drive demand / sales for their machine.
