Sea Dweller rehaut thickness

Hi,

Just noticed something I hadn't thought of / noticed before. The rehaut is not as thick on the SD as it is on the Sub Date.

I wonder if the thinner rehaut ring is the reason they haven't put the rehaut engraving to the SD, even on the M-serial? Maybe the engraving would be too small? Gotta say, I prefer to have one without any text. I always thought the engraved text makes the watch look a little too "busy", although it's by no means ugly or a show stopper for me in anyway.
