Help needed in identifying this 1675

Hi folks, I'm planning to purchase this 1675 5.1mil series circa 1977 with a very clean matt dial. However, I'm quite hesitant as the hour markers seem too 'white' although they are not totally white and the dial seems too clean for this age.

The hands look ok as I can see some oxidization but the patina is a little yellower than the hour markers. The date wheel seems original with the silver wheel and the open 6s & 9s. At the bottom of the dial is the usual 'swiss t 25'. It also comes with the RSC authentication cert.

My hesitation lies in the doubt that could this be a refinished dial or a redial NOS? I've checked it under dim lighting and it doesn't lume.

I've attached a link to the picture of the watch as I can't seem to upload the picture here directly. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can look at the picture and give me their comments.

Thanks a million!

FYI... it always helps to have the hands positioned at 840 or so to make sure all the printing on the dial is clearly seen.

I'm no expert, but the lack of active lume would indicate that its original or an early service dial. There is a lot of information available here and in other forums about GMT dial variations. I have seen many 1680's and GMT's from the Late 70's with bright white lume plots and hands.

I would demand a crystal clear/ high-res photo before I bought though. The pick on the link is too poor quality to make a purchase decision from.

X2. It could be a replacement dial or a very well kept one. Who knows!

A lot of times when the tritium has completely flaked off the dial, the hour markers are completely white.
Tritium is usually applied over these white markers.

If the tritium has more or less 'flaked' out from the lume plots, will it make the watch less desirable even though the dial is original to the watch?

Personally--I think you could do a lot better--There are so many nice examples of 1675's out there from solid sellers. Take your time and get the right one!!
