Rolex Datejust Black Diamond Dial Jubilee Bracelet Two Tone Mens Watch

Greetings everyone.. Excellent forum!!

I have a question about this watch that I am thinking about purchasing from a friend of mine whom I trust. The watch has no papers or box.

The bezel is aftermarket, but I wanted to know what the "TDC" initials at 9 O'Clock signify.

The dial looks off to me (or maybe it is the photo). The first "I" in Officially doesn't look clean.

Regardless, I'd have the whole thing authenticated by an AD before purchasing.

Trust, but verify.

The angle of the photo is making things look crooked. Here is a larger, more centered photo.

Why would there be "TDC" initials on the dial?

My thought is it has an aftermarket dial as well and the "TDC" is the hallmark of whom ever altered the original dial?!?!?

Here's my 116233 with original diamond dial for comparison. Note: minute markers between the diamonds and no "TDC" initials at the 9 o'clock.

Roy - Beautiful watch..

I wasn't aware that rolex released any Datejust models with factory Diamond bezels...I always believed them all to be aftermarket unless part of a special edition...

Thank you R.J.! Rolex makes Lady DJs with diamond bezel, not sure on mens models. Yes, I also believe that diamond bezels on mens DJs are aftermarket.
