"Real" Rolex with Japanese movement?????

Sorta funny, to me at least. At a party last night, I was talking to this guy who is in Hong Kong alot on business. As I want a Tudor Heritage I was thinking he might be able to grab me one. He told me due to the exchange rate, maybe not such a good idea.

Anyway, he then says "If you want me to get you a "real" Rolex with the only difference being a Japanese "insides" I can get you one for....200 DOLLARS!

Well, naturally I was at a loss for what to say, as I like this person. Rather than get into a big discussion about how his 200 dollar watch was nonsense, I just quickly changed the subject.

What would you have done?

Probably along the lines of "I don't do fakes"

I would have politely declined, and let it go at that.

A simple "no thanks" would do the trick!

I would have plunged a sharp object into his carotid artery.

That would have livened the party up a bit.
