Marurice Lacroix Question?

Does anyone have any experience with these watches? Or opinions?
Looked at some today, just wondering what people here thought?

I looked at a few of them a couple of weeks ago. Although some of them looked a bit interesting, I just have too many others that I like better to even seriously consider them at this time.

A friend of mine has a very nice one, they a nicely finished and have interesting complications for the price.

I've heard good thing about them, surely there will be someone else chipping it later around here.

If you like it I believe they make nice dress watched that look and feel more expensive than they are (especially on the gray market).

I've got the Miros Diver. A well built watch no doubt. Excellent bracelet and impressive clasp. The whole watch screams too much " I would if I could" tho,I've received it as a present,never wore it once except for a dinner with the persons I've received it from. It's a very comfy watch and dressed up the wrist pretty well.

If you look at their complicated ones you've got some stunning pieces for great prices IMHO. Absolutely top notch elegance.

Think I am going to look into these a little closer. I liked the look and feel of the masterpiece series. And the AD I went to (bellman's, manchester N.H.) said he would make me a good deal. We will see

I got the 38mm moon phase cause I wanted one without paying Blancpain prices. I'm really impressed with the quality. Mine was built around an ETA movement, but they've started making their own movements.

They make some very complicated watches, but there is sizable discounting on them. They used to make a bunch of quartz, low cost watches, but they've moved way upscale. Some of their models are very attractive.

Nice looking watches. I think they were going 60% off at La Swiss in Yorkdale in Toronto. Starting price seemed very high though so didn't see the value.

nice watches other than low water resistance rating. Swiss Made not real high productions for each model.

Like Steve, I've had experience with the brand via their discontinued Masterpiece Phase de Lune stainless steel model. I purchased it four years ago and had it for about a year (got stolen thereafter!), and for the price paid at the time it was an excellent watch.

At the time I recall I was tossing up between a few different brands/models (including even the Rolex Turn-o-Graph), however went with ML for their attractiveness, complications unavailable from anyone else at a similar price point, and from having spoken extensively with reputable dealers in the area, their consensus that the whole package (including solid movements) represented a lot of bang for your buck.

I can only imagine things have continued going from strength to strength!

I'd look for alternatives.

About 3 years ago me and a couple of my partners bought a ML closeout, about 85 pieces altogether. Of those, about 30 came back with various mechanical issues. And the service turn-around was terrible, 10 weeks minimum. IMO, look for a pre-owned JLC or IWC, those will be in the same pricerange as a new Maurice Lacroix. Just my twopence.
