My Blacokepsi 16710 is off to RSC Dallas

Well... sent my trusty & beloved GMT II 16710 off to RSC Dallas today for a full service.

It is a P serial with lug holes & SELs. Over time I have acquired all three bezel inserts and a jubilee bracelet. So I guess that makes it a "Blacokepsi" GMT II on a oysterilee bracelet - IMHO the best combination Rolex has made yet

Anyway, I have been planning to send it in for an overdue servicing for some time. I didn't take any "before" pics because it already looked great on the outside (I have kept it in pretty good shape). But I will certainly take some "after" ones.

I even bought a semi beat-up "surrogate" coke insert from TRF's own Steve Mulholland for its trip to the spa. That way I could keep the original insert that came with the watch and it will come back with a brand spanking new one.

They told me 4-6 weeks so we'll see. In the meantime I will just have to "slum it" with my Exp II and / or my GMT IIC.

I'm sorry to hear that you are an underprivileged individual who will be stressed out until it's return!!!

Lion: Thank you so much for your heartfelt concern

I will do my best to get through each day with the knowledge that my GMT is good hands

BTW - I see that you too have a Pepsi GMT. Very nice! What is the history behind yours.
