1st Acquisition of 2011 - GMT 16700 - PICS!!

Just did a trade yesterday, and ended up with the GMT 16700 "A" Serial Number 1999 BNIB I posted about earlier, when I was considering going for it. Made a great trade, and love the "old school" GMT!

Everything was in pristine condition.....Outer Box, Inner Box, Pillow etc., Watch, Oysterlock Bracelet (78790, Clasp Code X4, 501B End Links), Extra Link, Booklet, Warrantee (dated 08-08-1999)/Warrantee Sleeve.....Am STOKED!

BIG Thanks to all the great folks here on TRF who helped me make the best informed decision about getting this wonderful example of GMT History!

Here are a few pics....

Looks great.........

You could have saved us some bandwidth though.... 16700N means a GMT with Noir (black) insert........

Hey......... that's one of mine in the background of your photo........

Nice going. LUV my GMT IIc even though its not a vintage. Now if I could only sell my Omega, I could get me a sub.

Will do! Do we have any firm date for the next one, Michael?

Stopped by a local Ben Bridge this evening, and the Manager was amazed when he saw the 16700.....he told me it looked Brand New.....

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments.....I'm really glad I went for it.

Nice watch.
Shouldn't the 1999 model have a swiss only dial ?

Best regards Michiel

I wondered that as well, and brought it up in another thread.....below is a link to the answer to that question, in that thread, and as it turns out, the 1999's had both....

http://www.rolexforums.com/showpost....20&postcount=4 (Thanks again, Larry!)

And to all those who posted such nice positive comments....you guys are GREAT!

Thanks.....I really like having one of the very last of the model.....and wearing it I feel I am keeping that little part of Rolex History alive and kicking.....

Perhaps a 16760 next......

Thanks to everyone once again, for all their nice supportive and positive comments. Happy Valentine's Day!
