A long........wait.
Last month I purchased my first Rolex. An A serial SS 16610 Submariner. It's my B'day present to myself. However, I've got to wait till the end of April before I click over another year and start wearing it!
A long wait..... lol |

Ouch!
First off, congrats on the Sub!!
I know how painful the wait can be. Yet, it's also part of the fun. You know you have an awesome watch waiting for you so enjoy the countdown... |

can i ask - did you buy it from a shop/grey dealer or a private seller? reason im asking is that the shop/grey dealer may have offered some sort of warranty for a short period (say 6 months). if thats the case, you'd probably want to wear it and get things sorted out before the warranty expired. (just a thought) |

Personally I have no patience at all. I celebrated my 30th half a year too early with a very fine Rolex, and my 40th four months too late (another very fine Rolex), and then I have had a bunch of celebrations before, in between and after those two birthdays with more very fine Rolexes and Tudors. Lucky me! And now, lucky you! A 16610 is a GREAT watch: Best, A |

You are doing the right thing by waiting. It shows great strength of character.
Unfortunately too many people do not have the patience and self-discipline. |
