Any WG Daytona owners?

So, this summer I'll be getting married in Santorini and I've got my eye on a 116509 with Silver Arabic dial that I want to wear when it happens. It's got me thinking however..

Does the fact that the watch is made from white gold change anything about it's attributes?

For example, is it still safe to wear in the water often? Does one need to worry about more easily damaging the watch given that the gold will be softer than 904L?

Anyone ever gone WG Daytona and regretted it?

Interested in any and all stories, and of course your PICTURES!
