I plan to buy a Daytona SS next year but cannot decide between black or white dial. White dial is about 10% cheaper, it is easier to read and to me it looks better from a distance. Black dial has more contrast and looks terrific when getting closer. How do you choose between black and white?

I don't think I will use chronograph function. Is it okay to buy a chronograph watch but don't use it?
