Houston, we have a problem!
Well, we had an event that required suiting up, so DD was with me (I know, bad pic, cell, sorry!).
As soon as we get in the car and start driving, out of the blue she just tells me: You know what? We should get matching YM's. This comes from someone that does not care about watches BUT wears mine! So the good news: we will visit AD's and start looking at options. The not so good, well, upcoming non planned expense What are your thoughts about this 'unusual' scenario? Have a great week!! |

Nice job matching the watch, cufflinks, and tie - looks great.
As for the wife suggesting new watches, go with it. Although I understand the expense concern, my biggest hurdle to my next watch is getting the wife on board. |

Feel lucky you have a common interest. My wife wants nothing to do with Rolex, which she considers "big and bulky".

Feel lucky you have the money to get them.
My wife keeps asking, but I cannot afford the cost

I fear that my wife would say that because she won't wear anything without diamonds.

Got my wife a TT Yachtmaster, not long ago. Found it fairly cheap on eBay, the seller agreed to have Steve Mulholland check it out or refund me the money. Had it shipped to Steve, he verified and serviced/refinished it for us.
Instead of a YM for me, I got a TT Daytona. Lee

I still contend that an 18K Day-Date is one of 2 dress watches you must own. The other would be a PP Calatrava on a leather strap for when you want the quality, but not all the gold.

Gerardo, slik look with the DJ. As for the matching watches well I think we both know that if it was her suggestion then it's already a done deal. Your only question should be which ones?? I'm very partial to this one. Great for sport and with a tux.

My wife recently got on board the Rolex bandwagon as well. It's good to have another Rolex wearer in the house. Bad that I now my watch collection will be slowed down as I will now need to buy every other watch for her (so I'm told).

Can't see my wife wearing a matching Ceramic TT Blue Sub to be honest, i think she thinks i'm daft about Rolex, and doesn't know what all the fuss is about. She would rather spend the money on a holiday.

Great Idea! But recommend she get the 35mm or the 40mm version. We have both. I love the size of the 35mm and wear it almost daily.

Buying the Ladies 18k DJ w/MOP and Diamond face "allowed" me to get the 18k Sub and a few other toys. I think that the diamonds and elegantly understated. Besides, it's nice to have a beautiful wife wearing a beautiful watch.
