16600 Vs 11660
Hi All
I am looking at the purchase of a 16600, however, have been told to go all out with the 11660. Has anyone had any experiences with these watches? Pros and Cons? It will be my first Rolex, after years of trying to keep my Graham Chrono OS to keep good time I have finally cracked. Biased reviews well recieved. Being based in Aus, I would look at having a relative in NY take care of any legwork should I find the right watch in the USA, or possibly buy from someone in this forum. Thanks in advance... |

Mate I have the 16600 in fact I have two of them. I have tried the 11660 and it was too big and too showy with all the writing on the face. I don't mind big watches I have a Longines Grand Vitesse around same size as 11660 but it sits well and doesn't dominate.
I love the 16600 I bought both of mine from DAVIDSW on this site. Bargain prices compared to Australia |

The 11660 feels like wearing a Breitling Super Avenger. Its big and top heavy.

Hello!
If itīs your first and only Rolex I would not start with a 116660 DS. (depending on your wrist) The SD 16600 is perfect for daily use, itīs THE classic Rolex diver, not too big, not too chunky. The SD is sold out for some years, prices are going up .... good condition models will be more rare in the future or high price The DS will be around for the next 15-20 years no need to hurry with it! The DS can be too much watch for some occasion cheers oyster Uploaded with ImageShack.us |
