how did you get it past customs? Did you take a Rolex down there with you? Curious as I am heading to Aruba in 3 weeks and was wondering how I claim it or do I mail boxes from there?

Remember is St. Thomas, there is a huge discount for customs. I think it's $1,600 per person in your party and it can be combined. So a party of 4, for example, can purchase a $6,400 watch and not pay anything.

We love it too. My wife buys all her perfumes and cosmetics for the year when we visit. I always stop and get lunch at Cafe Amici for the pizza.

As far as getting a watch past customs I wear the new watch and put the box in a checked bag and the papers in another one. It's worked for me on 4 out of 4 watches and I look like a terrorist especially when I don't shave for a few days so most everyone here should be fine.

x2. my 2 kids and wife were with me, so i think our total exemption was around $6400. + customs really never checks too hard when they have 4500 people rolling through in that day!

pricing was very aggressive, caribbean list is cheaper than us, and then 5% off.

thanks for all of the compliments.

Ooh, is Cafe Amici the little spot down an alleyway? If so, we ate there too and it was awesome! So lovely sitting outside

That's the one. Last week I ate a pizza a salad and had a pitcher of sangria. Great people watching in that alley too.
