Basel preview on Rolex website

Can anyone see anything out of that? It looks like multiple models to me, but I have no idea what they are. One of them, with the all-brushed bracelet and supercase may just be the updated Exp II.

Every year they always find a way to tease us like that right before Basel! Anyways, its only a couple days away. I can wait.

I think the brushed SS bracelet may indeed by the new Explorer II. One of the other bracelets looks like that from the Masterpiece model. Maybe there will be a new version of the Day Date Masterpiece?

Thanks for the heads up - looks like we might be seeing a new sports watch in rose gold, that looked suspiciously like a RG triplock crown!

Looks like there are definitely two different steel models, one with PCL and one with brushed links. PCL model could maybe be a revised GMT? I can't see them putting PCLs on a Sub or Explorer II...

Or a revised YM, or a new Daytona Damn this preview, it's very vague

It seems a all SS brushed model (Expl II ??) and a RG one (new Daytona ... ?? or YM ??)

Ciao

im sure many people have stared at that preview for many minutes...

i think i can gather the following (and as already mentioned above):
- EXPII with brushed Oyster bracelet & super case
- a PCL Oyster bracelet (could be a YM or Daytona). cant really make out if it has curved lugs?!?
- YG model, no crown guards with something looks like a white ceramic bezel?!?
- RG sports model with crown guards

gees... Mr. Rolex has been busy... looks like there are 4 new/revised models this year

Thanks for the heads up. I like this! Looking forward to the releases, with hopes to see an Explorer II, that still has the traditional case and size. To me the all brushed case/bracelet looks like the old style, but I am uncertain on size, given the proportions of the bracelet/middle link. I am comparing with ExII that I am currently wearing. You can also see a polished edge of a smoth bezel, indicating an Explorer.

Also, the other SS (or white gold???) model looks like the YM, just check the lugs out. Or the WG Daytona. I'd say YM with upgraded clasp and bracelet.

And the pink gold triplock??? A new Daytona (they start new models off in gold)? The crown protectors looks smooth, like on the Daytona. And you can also see a smooth bezel.

I am really curious!

Best,

A

The new EXII might be 41mm.
The case will be maxi but something like the thickness of the Ceramic Sub which is thinner than the GMTC (hopefully).

Rolex aren't giving away much at all here.

watched the video on rolex.com...

pretty clear that the brushed bracelet model is the new (supercased) explorer ii. at the very last split-second, you can see a flash of light along the lower portion of the bezel, which is polished on the current model, not brushed. it's one of my favorite "little details" of the watch.

you can see what i'm talking about in my picture below where the sun hits off the polished portion of the bezel around the "20" marker and there is a reflection from the polished strip under the "12" marker....

Based on the curve of the lug and how the end of the bracelet extends beyond the case itself, this looks like a YM indeed. At least it looks awfully similar to my current YM

Wonder if there are more changes to the YM besides the upgrade in bracelet.

YM was the first Rolex model to have the maxi dial... could this new YM pave the way for new directions...?

3 more days of waiting!

It looks like Johny's SS Sub with a YG crown.

It only needs a green datewheel and some blue lume.

Hmm...looking fwd to the releases, but RG does not excite me. Nor does the YM.

If Rolex pulls out a Pepsi Ceramic, I will be amused / surprised...but will hang on to my classic GMTII ;-)

Definitely agree with you there. I don't think the YM needs much work apart from the bracelet upgrades...maybe it'll either get an cal. 3135 with blue Parachrom, like the Sub-C, or a new movement based on the cal. 3132.

I've been thinking about this, I wonder if it may be a RG YM II, or an all new model - I'm maybe thinking a revised Daytona. If you notice on the video, the areas either side of the lugs are cunningly hidden, and the crown guards do look quite narrow and pointed, like on the Daytona.

So, based on the pics available up to now, I would say:

Sub C no date

Explorer 2

Daytona

YM2 RG

I'm pretty sure that one lug pic is a new YM!
