Mike Horn and the Arktos

Mike Horn is the first ever human to solo navigate from Siberia to the North Pole in Canada, then on to Alaska... 20,000 km on foot, XC skis and kayak. While on his journey, strapped to the outside of his parka was a special edition Panerai made for him called Arktos. Horn says it's the only piece of equipment he took with him that didn't break down.

Check out the website of this gutsy guy. http://www.mikehorn.com/

Panerai make 500 Arktos a year and they go for around US$7,000.
