Finally, a Coke and a Smile!
Hello Good People,
After admiring the various GMT on (super) jubilee bracelets that many on TRF have shared, I am now the proud owner of a pre-loved, mint condition Coke on a brand new super jubilee...both courtesy of a trusted TRF seller. Although I like the Pepsi / jubilee combo, in my opinion, the Coke combination is a bit more understated (elegant?) and a better fit when added to the balance of my humble collection. In fact, I wore it for the first time last Saturday evening at a black-tie affair. (Yeah, I know...you're not supposed to wear a watch w/ a tux, but quite frankly, I don't subscribe to such nonsense. ). Anyway, I couldn't keep from smiling. My wife thougtht I was smiling at her...which was true the first two times I smiled, but not the next 25 times....but we'll keep that little secret amongst just us friends. Thank you to all who provided pictures and comments on the GMT (super) jubilee combo, especially Dan (see his picture below). Such information helped me to have greater clarity re what I was seeking. Cheers, P.S., Dan I sincerely apologize if my posting your picture somehow violated a rule or proper TRF etiquette. My intent was solely to be complementary of both your watch and your picture taking skills. Although I can now match you re the watch, you are without question a better photographer. |

Excellent choice, Congrats.
I too one day would like to own one, however I can only dream about it for now.

Thanks, everyone. I will definitely enjoy the Coke, and when I'm feeling especially sporty, I'll break out my Pepsi on oyster.
Dan, I will certainly continue trying to post pics. My first several attempts were unsuccessful due to size issues and general incompetence. |

I recently acquired a Pepsi (3186 movt) although my preference was a Coke GMTII. I have ordered the a Coke and a Black bezel insert which I will receive when I return home from deployment in just a few days.

What is the difference between jubilee and 'super' jubilee?

Hollow center links vs solid, stamped clasp vs hidden milled clasp, and folded, separate end links vs milled integrated, solid end links.

Where did you get the super jubilee bracelet and how much are they going for? I would like that option for my Pepsi. I wonder if it will fit my no holes case?

I'm glad you got your coke as it is a fine watch. I do have that bezel insert for my GMT but prefer the Pepsi...now all I need to do is buy a Jubilee bracelet!!!

Do people who prefer pepsi/coke prefer the corresponding drink? I'd post it as a topic but I might get banned for trolling. LOL!
