How many are happy...........
with just one "go to" Rolex?? Just curious. For the most part I have "bonded" with my Sub Date, (pun intended) and though I have had some thoughts about gettting a Coke GMT II, I am pretty content with only one watch. Maybe because the Sub Date is the perfect "do anything, go anywhere" watch that I am content? I don't know. Just curious and talking out loud I guess.

I thought I would be happy with just one everyday watch. I have a new Sub No Date. I just recently purchased a Mint condition Explorer II Polar and must say, two is much better than one. It is nice to be able to walk over to the watch holder in the morning and decide which to wear. I even change it up throughout the day. I am now looking to add a third. My goal is to have one for each day of the week.

I was happy for about a year to have just one my Explorer but then I wanted a date function so I picked up Sea Dweller, and then I wanted a...well you get the idea.

I had my 5513 Sub for 34 years as my only watch, I have no plan to get another watch to go with my Exp II. I doubt I have enough years left on the clock to get to 34 years with this one, but I'll give it a go...

As a fairly recent first-time owner, one is so much better than none that I'm not yet jonesing for another. Next month or next year....? We'll see!

I don't think I'd be happy with just one Rolex, but if I had to choose one, the Sub Date would be on my (very) short list. My other choice would be a Daytona!

I only really see my self getting another at some point so that I will be able to leave one to each of my two sons. I am now pretty much a one watch person for the most part, and I liKe my rolex too much ( any of my lesser watches now get 0 wrist time).

I was happy with my one and only 16710 for 15 yrs., then I made the mistake of buying a second Rolex (a NIB 16610), and then the madness realy kicked in. Life is too short to just have one.

The problem is that when you decide to get that first rolex, you are often torn between a few models. Well the desire for the other models never really goes away, eventually you'll end up getting them.

I was happy with my first TT DJ. Then I was really happy with my second TT DJ. Then I was delighted with my YG DD. After that I was ecstatic with my all black GMT-II. Now with those and a JLC, GP, Breitling, Glycine, and an Oris, I think I am satiated. Unless, of course, I ran across a Meteorite Daytona on a black strap at a good price. Then I might be tempted again.

Interesting thoughts by everyone. I figured most on TRF would not be happy with one watch.

You're actually doing pretty well. I was walking out of the AD with my most recent purchase, and as the door closed behind me I was thinking of the next watch I would buy.

Before this forum, I was happy with one watch. Now I've been exposed to so many great watches. I'm telling myslef I can stop if I get a Daytona and Sub, though. But I also like the Tudor Heritage. The Omega PO is pretty nice. But, man, a JLC would be kind of...

I go back and forth. I've had 2 Rolex and a Tudor and it was OK. Now I'm down to one and I'm good with that because nothing is sitting in the box. For me
1 or 2 fits the bill. I'd like to spend less time on watches and more Time on other hobbies. |

Hey, Dan!
I'm very pleased with my ExpyII and wear it the most often over my other choices. My Disney 25th Anniversary "Swatch" NEVER sees the light of day. I don't think I have a picture...let me see...NOPE! Figbo's TT "Bluesy" pleases my eye, though!
