Should I wear my Deepsea outside?
Though it's probably been discussed before, I'm interested to know how many people throw caution to the wind and actually wear their Rolex outside of the home.
After a couple of beers and whilst wearing my DS, I once opened my front door and very nearly took a step onto path. Luckily, my wifes quick thinking saved the day and she managed to drag me back in. But can it be that bad?? I know some of you crazy cats even remove stickers from the case and bracelet so you must be up for a bit of fresh air too?? I'm just a little worried journeying outside could well affect resale values and also attract unwanted attention from neighbours or the postman. I'm pretty sure my garden would be safe in that respect, however, I would obviously ensure I wore a long enough cuff and avoided all human eye contact. I'd be really interested in hearing peoples experiences (if any) 1. How far away from home did you take your Rolex? 2. Did you dare wear it, or was it in a travel case (rigid or soft)? 3. Did your watch suffer visible damage or shrinkage? 4. Did you feel vulnerable? 5. Did you collapse or feel faint? 6. Would you do it again, now your watch has lost 93% of it's resale value? My 9 year old son and I await your response! |
