Vintage T.O.G. 6609

Hola amigos!! Hello Friends!!

After a some time without any new addition to the stable, a few days ago I made a lucky find, which made me very happy.

I had always been very fond of the so called T.O.G or T Bird model, and I have shown here before, my gold case reference 6609 (c.1959 vintage) found last year.

This time, the lucky find was a reference 1625 of 1966 vintage. Case is stainless steel, with a yellow gold bezel.








As you can see, dial is black with Baton gold indexes and hands, as well as all lettering is also in gold, making a nice contrast with the gold bezel and steel case color.
It came with a TT Jubilee bracelet, which completes the outfit, with a very classic and elegant touch.


This example is in top working condition which speaks of a nice previous owner (or owners) and good maintenance.



It is interesting to observe how the case backs of Rolex watches had been changing with time. In this photo, my 6609 and 1625 together.



T.O.G. are very difficult to find here, so I feel very lucky to having found these two.
