FS: Rolex SS Daytona 116520 D-serial ('07)
As much as it pains me to do, I'm going list my grail for sale. This is your chance to get an icon at a steal of a price!
This SS Daytona was purchased from Mosco (Greg) 7/23/10 from this site. He has graciously said he will be happy to confirm this with you and the condition when he sold it to me- just pm him. Many TRFers saw it in person at the Columbus GTG last summer as well (this and my YG DayDate were my two grails then!). This is the newer "FAT HANDS" model (improved Rolex design which started mid-D serial year to improve visibility of hands, particularly on black dials). CONDITION: Only worn 4 times by me (hence the reason I'm selling it- I just can't see holding on to it if I'm not going to wear it often). I got it in flawless condition from Greg, and it looks the same as when it arrived on my doorstep. Maybe a few light surface scratches if looked at through a loupe, but nothing to the naked eye. PCL's are shiny and clean. Mechanically, it is flawless, keeps perfect time, and all functions work perfectly. Comes with original inner and outer boxes, burgundy Rolex tag, and all booklets. The warranty cert. is missing (it was misplaced by the original owner per Greg). I believe that the watch is priced correctly due to this. I always assumed I would get it serviced in a few years, and at that point it wouldn't matter because I would get a new certificate from Rolex. The biggest concern in my mind of buying a watch without a cert. is authenticity, which I had NO problem with buying from Greg (most of us here know what I mean). I will include the appraisal ( see pic) which can be used for insurance purposes (replacement value of $10,950). Sorry pics aren't better- I'm more of a buyer than a seller! I have lots of references here, WUS, and TZ on purchases the past 18 months (to my wife's chagrin). I've done deals with Mosco, BodyBump (Oscar), and SeanL (Sean) just to name a few. It's just time to streamline a bit, and insuring a watch for $11k and not wearing it much just doesn't make sense to me anymore. Sale Price- $8800 overnight shipped and insured (firm). Payment by wire or paypal +3%. CONUS only (I had a bitch of a time with Canada a while back- go figure). My main goal is to make the process as stress-free as possible! Please feel free to email or pm me with any questions. Thanks! Bob J
