RSC Bangkok

Note..
Complete Overhaul service is a 2 week turn around at the RSC Bangkok,,, on Wireless Rd.
Just dropped my wifes 1982 Mid-size DJ for servicing.
Price 16210 Thb
Hopefully, the USD dollar will regain its value again and this won't cost me $549USD haha

As per the pics here.. the date wheel is misaligned. In addition, the second hand has been skipping and the watch has the usual wear and scratch marks.
Lastly, since my wife has such a small wrist, they will custom fit the bracelet for her.

I will try to post the follow up results later

I've used that Servi-center in the past and have had excellent results.

Went there last month to authenticate the watch (16570) before making a purchase. Cost me about $60.

Returned from Servicing

Ok.. had my wifes Rolex midsize 68273 get back from servicing in Bangkok RSC.

Customer Service was great when i turned the watch over to them. My wife did the pick up and wasn't that happy about the customer service when she picked it up the watch. Maybe a personality conflict in this haha

The watch looks a lot better..

However, they were unable to give a warranty for the watch.
They advised, they were unable to water proof the watch.. the watch case was too old. It had some previous rust damage that prevented it from passing the water test.
They said, they replaced the crystal in hopes to fix this problem, but that didn't help.

My wife was upset that they didn't place the original crystal back, but i assume this was done to help in either the pressure sealing or to help whatever water resistance could be done to the watch.

I guess.. the only problem i had with the customer service.. was they should have contacted me and informed me that the watch could not pass the water test, that it needed a new case in order for this to pass and receive a warranty. This way i could have made a decision before my wife picked the watch up.

I did receive an email just today.. the price of a new case is 46352 Thb.. which is about $1545 USD..and would take the RSC 3 months to order it. So not sure, if i should spend this amount for the watch.. I guess i can put that against buying a new or preowned watch instead.

In the end,, my wife doesn't want to change the watch case..

Does anyone have tech knowledge on this water test and if this is a major issue??

Use the money and get another watch is what i'd do!! That way, you can rotate your watches on a daily basis.

Acrylic crystals are always changed as part of normal routine service, take watch to local watchmaker for a standard dry pressure check, if it passes watch should be fine.

Thanks for the info.. I will check to see if they dry pressure tested the watch.. If not, I will have another reliable watchmaker do this for us.
After thinking about the cost of a new case.. I think best to save that cash for another watch in the future.

I think the overall service was good. Somethings could have been better, but for the most part, satisfied.
My wife told me, Service Rep told here to bring the watch back if any problems.. that they stand behind the work and service for 2 years, only there at the Bangkok RSC.
