AD Discounts and Shipping?
Can anyone recommend an AD that will deal over the phone, give a decent discount, and ship the watch to me? The closest Rolex AD is over 200 miles away. I've been watching the sale forum for a mint DSSD but nothing has came up for sale since I've been looking.

Try sending a PM to one of the usual sellers here asking for what you want. Haven't done it myself but I've certainly read many reports of successful transactions this way.

Not from an AD in the USA
The agreements between Rolex USA and its AD's prevents anything but a face to face sale. One can request shipment while at the AD to an out of state address, and many do to avoid sales tax, but Rolex is quite strict about telephone and internet selling originating from an AD.
I doubt that an AD wishing to continue its relationship with Rolex would violate the terms of this agreement. And that's why you're getting the advice about contacting a gray marketer, either here on the sales forum or elsewhere in cyberspace. It's no secret that the gray sellers deliver the goods, as indicated by the numerous postings of praise and thanks for those doing business here on the forum, but there are other sources as well, and a web search should turn up a bunch of alternatives. |

I've bought 3 different Rolexes from 3 different Sellers here and they've all been impeccable. Their price was unbeatable by any AD.

I have one AD in mind, who was not too good with discounts but they do ship and they took my order over the phone. I will PM you the info. They might do a 5-10% discount but that is it! And that depends on the circumstances. I will be meeting with another AD tomorrow regarding my DJ that I want to upgrade (well there really is not any upgrading for my piece, I am probably going to trade it in and get the one I want) but I will ask if they will do phone orders and ship. Good luck! |

Where do you live in the US where an AD is 200 miles away? Alaska? Wyoming? I'd go with a seller on here! Best place to find the best price on a watch, since you don't have an established relationship with an AD...

Absolutely buy from a trusted seller here on TRF... Just email/text/pm one of them and you will have your DSSD within a couple of days at a very good price Just because it is not listed doesnt mean they do not have it... If they do not have it they can certainly get it very easilly
Agreed any reputable AD will not do what you are asking for IMHO

You failed to mention where you live other than USA. If we knew where you lived, someone may PM you as they shouldn't call out a AD on the forum who works in the grey areas.
Just call around, when you call you may start off with, "I really like your store; however, I'm a ways away and don't want a long drive". It lets a dealer technically off of the hook (you have inferred that you have set foot in the store), and signals to them that you understand how things work. When I go to different dealers, I grab a business card.

Thanks for all the info and PMs. I live in southeast Idaho and the closest AD is over 200 miles away in Salt Lake City. I'm going to give the three dealers in that area a call to see what they can do. If I don't come up with anything, I'll try the sellers on here.

Rolex policy prohibits them from doing phone deals. You must buy in person. Some ADs may skirt this policy though they do so at the risk of their AD status. They can ship Rolex but you must step in the store.
Good luck! |

All rules are meant to be broken. I purchased from an out of state AD. But, trusted TRF seller is the way to go!!!
