I would say its more like late 20s - early to late 30s cushion case, is it gold ?? most were silver at this time.S.Steel was quite new and more expensive than silver, but as they got into the later mid 1930s hands started to get Lume. The movement most probably a 15 jewel cal 59,and the second hand could easily be replaced.By most good watchmakers, now keep everything has original as possible.Perhaps only a very gentle cleaning of dial if needed. The crystal should clean up with a bit of polywatch or could be replaced if needed.

Welcome youngg
Your watch could be serviced and the second hand added without too much difficulty by a local watchmaker in your area. Make sure you take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Definately keep the dial in the original condition. I would just go for a new hand, a servicing of the movement and a polishing of the crystal and case.
Should look as good as new after that

Never say a Rolex isn't anything, you will almost always be pleasantly surprised.

Try a little polish on the back; that may be tarnished silver

excellent thank you all for your infomation!

Very interesting, is there a market for older rolex's like these?

The watch is still fully working (can hear it ticking)

What is your advice from here, is it worth getting fixed????

I know its quite difficult, but has anyone got any rough figures on how much it is worth?

thanks

From the looks of your vintage masterpiece, the case looks like a pre-Oysterquartz case.
