Best choice for new Sub... clock is ticking
Hi guys ! I currently own both a SS Daytona and SS Gmt and have a hard deciding which Submariner to go with. I would like to purchase today before price hike .
My choices are SS , TT blue , and Hulk. I appreciate any feedback . |

SS kinda similar to your SS GMT.
Not a fan of TT blue (but, WG blue? yes!). So, of your three, gotta go Hulk. That, and, I think the Hulk is a knock-out! Good luck with the hunt. (maybe add a poll to your thread?) |

I would say either the SS or the hulk. I have had both and ended up keeping the SS black (i have a Sub LV old style as well) . Considering your current collection I would say the hulk but of course whatever sings to you will be the right decision for you!!

I would choose the classic 16610 or the 14060M.

Its really hard to suggest as its all sub. I think it depends on your preference for SS or TT once you decide that you will only have two choices left. TT blue subc is very classy and elegant, it looks completely different from the other two subs even through its essentially the same watch but some people find it too flashy. A black sub is an icon, a very versatile watch and I think its sort of a must have if you are collecting Rolex. A green sub is not as common but it doesn't seem to go well with just any outfit and occasion. For what its worth I have a TT blue subc and a SS subc. Here are some pics to aid in your decision. Good luck. |

Boy, all three are so different from one another. The black steel version would probably be the most versatile, but it's also the least different from what you already have. If you're looking for some variety, then that could narrow it down to the TT blue and the steel green.
I've owned the 16613 Sub before, and enjoyed it...but didn't really love it. In addition, I think the previous dial used on this model was far more interesting than the current one used on the ceramic models. Interestingly enough, the green dial on the 116610LV is more like the older blue dial in terms of how it changes colors in different lighting. The green LV is certainly the most unique and difficult to find. But, the TT Sub could most likely be dressed up a bit more easily. I'm probably not helping much since I just narrowed it down to the two that are most opposite one another. If you're going to wear it casually, I'd go with the green LV. I'm thinking this one will hold its value better down the road, too, since it's in steel and rarely discounted. However, if you think you'll want to dress up the new addition from time to time - I'd then steer you into a new TT blue Sub. Good luck with the decision-making! Drew |

The only TT rolex that I really love is the GMTIIc..but you already have a GMTIIc..with that said I would go with TT Sub if you want to add variety, and the SS Black Sub if you want to have the quinessential rolex and have the PCL look...short answer>>can't go wrong with any of the three..good luck

I would say go with the HULK since you have a GMT II. The only TT that looks good in the modern line is the GMT-C.

no doubt, go for the hulk.
not a fan of the tt sub (i like the tt version of the gmt though) and since you have a gmt, your collection needs something different. the hulk is incredibly beautiful.

16610LV, so you can swap the green bezel with black occasionally for a new look.

SS Sub C (LN) vote here, my favorite by a huge margin. Not a fan of the new TT Blue or the Hulk (although it does look better in person than in pics). Good luck with your decision.
