Good Price On Sub?
Was talking to an AD today that I have frequently dealt with and I can pick up a BNIB SS Sub (no date) with the non-ceramic bezel for $5200. Being somewhat new to the Rolex community this seems like a fairly good deal to me. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Is that out the door including sales tax? If so that is ok. Isn't msrp $5875 until tomorrow?

I think its a little bit expensive to be honest. But again I wouldn't pay that much for a sub no date. $4800 out the door seems a bit more reasonable.

That price included Fedex next day and sales tax is not applicable.

I would work that a bit more, I think upper 4's would be more in the ball park but that isnt terrible IMHO

Then I agree that price is a little high. High 4's would be right without sales tax...that is why I wondered if there was sales tax being added so $4800 with 8% sales tax is $5184

ok
It's an OK price. If this is going to be your first or only Rolex, it's a great, classic model. If $4800 or $4,900 is a real good price, in a couple years the difference won't matter, as long as you like your watch. If you're flipping watches regularly, you probably need to work the price down a little.

Its too high.
In the South Pacific Islands (where I live) you can pick up a ss subdate 16610 for around US 4,800.00 tax free at the airport which has the Rolex AD. Regards Last edited by sub2004; 10 May 2011 at 08:50 AM.. Reason: location |
