What colour NATO is this diver wearing?
Hi Everyone,
I would value your opinions on whether the chap in the photo is likely to be wearing a black or a grey NATO strap? I would imagine it will probably be a grey one, if he is a Navy diver? But I would certainly like other peoples opinions on this question? Many, many thanks, everyone. Till next time... The Laird |

Hi Everyone,
From what I can find out, if this chap is in the Royal Navy, then the only straps that the MOD buy are grey. So it would be most likely that it is grey? Many thanks for everyone's reply. Till next time... The Laird |

Interesting and related to this topic, I was wearing my 1680 the other day with a gray Maratac mil-spec strap -- looks like a NATO but not as much strap or keepers. My brother noticed immediately and asked me if I had a new watch based on strap appearance. He said from a distance it looked like a tight mesh bracelet rather than cloth. The gray does have a bit of a sheen to it.
