Maintenance

What are the maintenance mandatory and when should a watch get it?

Overhaul?
Polish?
Etc...if any...

You will get many opinions here. On average every 7 years or so....
Not necessarily what I follow but most popular around here.
Ps- polish is never necessary and always a choice! Again not something
I would opt for. A movement service and checking seal integrity works for me.....

I am from the if it ain't broke don't fix it school.....How controversial of me!! When that happens- they go to the Mr. Bob Ridley Spa for treatment. Nobody else touches my vintage babies!! As for polishing- never.

Overhaul service should be done every 5-7 years... and the polish is completed during the overhaul. I think there really is no point polishing the watch unless you want to...

I usually keep some scotchpad and cape cod polish clothes in preparation of those "sudden" accidents though...
