Waitlists
Folks. Quick question. I have a local large chain jeweler who is a Rolex dealer. I have purchased from them 5-6 times in the past. I called the manager right after Basel to place my name on the list for the new Exp II and was told I would be on the list and notified when it comes in. I was not asked for, and did not put down, a deposit.
My question is how these lists generally work. I have seen some people post that they are X# on a list for an incoming model. In the past with this dealer, I have not been told what number I may be or how many people may be ahead of me. I really have no idea if I may get one of the first or may wait a longer period of time. In your experience, do dealers really order reservations in the order people have made them and honor that (even without a deposit)? TIA. and Happy Friday. |

If you've bought from them before I would think they would WANT to take care of you as a genuine and serious customer. If you're unsure, however, I would suggest going in and talking to the manager and asking your questions.
