How tight do you guys screw the crown?

Just wondering what the norm is here. A quickfire question.
Cheers.

Finger tight.....once it snugs in without extra pressure, that's as far as it needs to go!

Oh cool. I've been using my nail to get it extra tight. Nice to know there's no need!

I finger tighten and then "back it up" so the logo is facing up.

I can do that now. It almost lands the correct way up!

I have been careful not to wind it too tight, else it is hard to get back out to change the date at the end of odd months.

I take a wrench to mine. I want to just make sure it is tight. It sounds like this is not needed at all plus I really marked up my crown all the years I have been doing this.

And I thought my "just use vicegrips" would be unique

Just follow the instructions in the pic....

According to Rolex, the Triplock is a "technical masterpeice, which screws down like a hatch", and "has more than 10 components"

6.5843 in/lbs - using the official Rolex crown torque tool
Fortunately it's a multi-use tool, so the investment can utilized elsewhere - see attached photo...

A firm finger tight is as far as I take it. I haven't bothered to make the crown face upwards when I do it though.
